ASWB is taking all developments concerning the coronavirus (Covid-19) very seriously and will continue to closely monitor the situation. There are no plans to postpone or cancel upcoming ASWB meetings or trainings. Registrations at this point in time are similar to previous years.  We will continue to monitor the situation and of course will be in discussion with health authorities and ASWB leadership. ASWB will work to ensure the highest possible degree of hygiene, safety and medical care at upcoming meetings. The health and safety of all our attendees is our highest priority.

This two-day conference is held Friday and Saturday, April 24-25, 2020 in Chicago, Illinois. All attendees will have the opportunity to participate in all sessions on Friday and Saturday and preconference sessions are offered on Thursday. Registration is limited to ASWB member board members, staff, and speakers. Continuing education credit is offered for attending both days. Attendees must complete a conference evaluation and submit an attestation of attendance following the conference to be eligible to receive credit.

Thursday Sessions

Pre-conference sessions are offered on Thursday, April 23, 2020.  

9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

• Administrators Forum open to ASWB member board administrators, registrars, or staff
• Board Member Exchange open to ASWB member board members

3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

• ASWB Governance as Leadership Training: This Training is designed to deepen attendees' knowledge of the ASWB governance structure and leadership roles and responsibilities.

 Attendees are required to register for Thursday sessions if they plan to attend. No continuing education credit is offered for Thursday sessions.

5:30 p.m.

• Retirement Reception for Mary Jo Monahan: A reception in honor of Mary Jo Monahan's retirement will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the welcome dinner and dance party.

6:45 p.m. (NOTE TIME CHANGE!)

• Welcome Dinner and Dance Party: A complimentary dinner and dance party is open to attendees and their guests beginning at 6:45 p.m. Dinner, dessert, and unlimited nonalcoholic beverages are included. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.  Guests are welcome. Please include any guests when registering.
